Winthrop man dies in head-on Farmington tractor-trailer crash

FARMINGTON, Maine — A 26-year-old Winthrop man died in a head-on crash involving a tractor-trailer in Farmington early Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred round 3:30 a.m. on Farmington Falls Street, in line with the Farmington Police Division.
Noah Brochu was driving a Nissan Altima when he crossed the middle line and hit a tractor-trailer head-on, officers stated. He died on the scene of the crash.
The tractor-trailer driver was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital, however has since been launched.
Officers with the Maine Division of Environmental Safety responded to assist include roughly 100 gallons of spilled diesel gasoline.
The tractor-trailer concerned was carrying argon refrigerated liquid, officers stated. Not one of the substance was spilled within the crash.
Pace seems to be an element within the crash, however an investigation is underway.
