FARMINGTON — The College of Maine at Farmington’s celebrated Visiting Writers Collection is happy to current fiction author Jensen Seashore as the favored program’s third reader of the 2023-24 season. Seashore will learn from his work at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 in The Touchdown within the UMF Olsen Scholar Middle. The studying is free and open to the general public and shall be adopted by a e book signing with the writer.
Seashore’s newest assortment “Swallowed by the Chilly” (Graywolf 2017) is a linked assortment about fragmented grief, private and political disasters, and the haunting honesty characters really feel snug sharing with strangers, whereas approaching their family members with distance and coldness. It’s a recipient of the 2017 Vermont E-book Award

Seashore’s work has appeared in A Public Area, the Paris Overview, and The New Yorkeramong others. He’s the fiction editor of the lauded literary journal Inexperienced Mountain Overview and teaches within the Artistic Writing B.F.A. program at Northern Vermont College at Johnson. He holds an M.F.A. from the Program for Poets and Writers on the College of Massachusetts, Amherst and an M.A. and B.A. in English from Stockholm College.
