Nationwide Cathedral replaces home windows honoring Confederacy with stained-glass homage to racial justice

The landmark Washington Nationwide Cathedral unveiled new stained-glass home windows Saturday with a theme of racial justice, filling the house that had as soon as held 4 home windows honoring Accomplice Gens. Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.

The brand new home windows depict a march for justice by African People, descendants of the very individuals who would have remained in slavery after the Civil Struggle if the aspect for which the officers fought had prevailed.

The cathedral had eliminated the previous home windows after Accomplice symbols featured prominently in latest racist violence.
