Martha Stewart to show basis of demolished MDI mansion into swimming pool

Martha Stewart is having an outside swimming pool constructed into the inspiration of her former mansion in Seal Harbor, the Mount Desert Islander reported.
Stewart purchased the 17-room mansion on Ox Hill in 2015, and had it torn down in 2021 on grounds that it couldn’t be restored.
At a Sept. 27 Mount Desert planning board assembly, the Islander reported, New York architect Scott Koniecko described how Stewart hatched the imaginative and prescient for the brand new pool: “As soon as it was pulled down, it immediately grew to become apparent, to Martha at the least, that it will make a terrific swimming pool,” he stated.
The partitions of the previous mansion’s basis will grow to be the partitions of the swimming pool with two of them to be prolonged in order that the pool might be roughly 100 ft lengthy and 20 ft large, in accordance with the Islander.
The planning board gave conditional approval to the mission, which features a pool home with a sauna, kitchen and toilet, in accordance with the Islander.
