Man allegedly tried to flee from Maine jail bus after court docket look

A South Portland man allegedly tried to flee from police custody after a Monday afternoon court docket look.
Rocco Langella, 35, was amongst a bunch of individuals being loaded onto a bus to be returned to the Cumberland County Jail after showing in court docket on Newbury Road in Portland, in accordance with Capt. Erik Frigon of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Workplace.
Langella, who was handcuffed and shackled, then allegedly tried to run from officers about 4 p.m.
Officers shortly caught Langella, Frigon stated Thursday morning.
