Maine man charged with killing couple in entrance of their youngsters enters madness plea

PORTLAND, Maine –- A South Portland man accused of killing a Westbrook mom and father in entrance of their youngsters entered pleas Thursday on the costs in opposition to him.
Marcel Lagrange pleaded not responsible by motive of madness. He’s charged with taking pictures and killing Michael Hayter and Brittney Cockrell in June.
In response to court docket information, Maine State Police interviewed their youngsters, who say they’d simply gone for a stroll and returned to their truck.
They are saying Lagrange, who they didn’t know, got here out of nowhere and shot at their dad.
The dad’s 11-year-old son says Lagrange tried to shoot at him, however he ducked.
The 6-year-old daughter says their mom acquired out of the automobile, ran, screamed and pointed.
