Maine mail service pleads responsible in drug trafficking case

A South Portland mail service that had been accused of aiding a drug trafficking ring pleaded responsible to a conspiracy cost on Wednesday.
Katie Montgomery faces as much as a 12 months in jail after she pleaded responsible to a misdemeanor conspiracy cost, in accordance with the Portland Press Herald.
In March, Montgomery was indicted on a felony-level conspiracy cost which claimed that she was a repeat buyer of Fireplace Bunny USA, a vendor that allegedly offered greater than $7 million value of medicine, together with cocaine and ketamine, via the U.S. Postal Service between 2019 and 2022.
Montgomery allegedly gave recommendation on the best way to import medicine into the U.S. and checked the standing of incoming packages to see if that they had been flagged.
A sentencing date is ready for Aug. 2, in accordance with the Press Herald.
