Letter: Lewiston tragedy should result in change

Assault weapons have one function, to kill human beings. They had been designed for struggle. Fortunately and sadly Rep. Jared Golden has come to that realization. We in Maine have the chance, as we now have performed in lots of different situations, to steer in addressing the general public well being concern of gun violence.

Gun violence is assaulting the emotional and bodily well being of our youngsters, households, communities, and our nation. Out of tragedy can come change. Dirigo Maine!
