Within the wake of the Lewiston tragedy, what has caught with me are the phrases spoken by U.S. Rep. Jared Golden in a press convention: that he was fallacious. These easy, but extremely highly effective phrases have been in response to his beforehand defiant stance defending the usage of weapons of struggle on our streets.

It takes braveness, management and political will to vary the trajectory of gun violence on this nation. One group that for years has systematically, methodically and relentlessly opposed almost each gun security measure proposed is the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine. Can we dare hope that the highest brass of this highly effective lobbying group demonstrates the identical management, and has the braveness to say that they have been fallacious.
