Eastport hires former metropolis supervisor to briefly fill job

Months after firing its metropolis supervisor and dismissing a fellow metropolis councilor, the Eastport Metropolis Council has crammed these positions together with one other vacant metropolis councilor seat on an interim foundation.

George “Bud” Finch, who served as Eastport’s metropolis supervisor from 1995 to 2010, will fill his previous job briefly whereas the town conducts a seek for a brand new metropolis supervisor. Finch started his newest stint as interim supervisor in early June, stated William Boone, president of the Metropolis Council.

In the meantime, Colleen Dana-Cummings was appointed in April to fill the council seat that beforehand was held by Ross Lawrence. Lawrence was eliminated by a council vote in March.
