Carmel man killed in home hearth

Police say a 70-year-old resident was killed when his Haskell Avenue house was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters responded to a reported house on hearth at 3 p.m. Friday at 26 Haskell Avenue and battled the blaze for at the very least two hours. A deceased particular person believed to be Joseph Jack was discovered on the scene and brought to the Workplace of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification, in keeping with Maine State Police spokesperson Shannon Moss.
