Acadia closing part of Park Loop Highway for culvert repairs

A piece of the Park Loop Highway in Acadia Nationwide Park will probably be closed for culvert repairs beginning subsequent Tuesday.
The 0.7-mile part of the street between the intersection of Kebo Avenue and Sieur de Monts in Bar Harbor will probably be closed to all site visitors for a sequence of emergency repairs, in response to park officers.
No motorized vehicle, pedestrian or bicycle site visitors will probably be permitted within the space, and vacationers will probably be detoured at Kebo Avenue onto Cromwell Harbor Highway. Site visitors will then be directed down Route 3, rejoining the Park Loop Highway on the Sieur de Monts entrance.
Park officers will probably be clearing two partially collapsed culverts positioned alongside the sting of the Nice Meadow, in addition to repairing vital roadway harm.
Entry to different areas of the park is not going to be affected. It isn’t clear when the realm will reopen to site visitors.
